Enjoy the View
Thanks to the wonders of modern blogging, MyWideBlueSeas has a new home. Enjoy the view!
Mahalo Niu Loa to Mela of
Daiphaneity .com, for all of her help with her public domain skin that she let me take apart and "remodel" to my tastes. Check out her blog with its stunning masthead of Waikiki enduring an afternoon thunderstorm. I like the view on that pic because its the opposite of the one you always see, that of the windward direction towords Diamond Head, this one is looking towords Pearl Harbor and Leeward Oahu. I just figured out by reading her blog that she lives here in town, in Hilo. I assumed with her having Waikiki and on her blogskin she had Lanikai, another Oahu locale, on the blogskin that I remodeled, that that was where she lived...I think she thinks I live someplace else too or something but the minute she sees the pics on my blog....well she needs to get over to da store and let me "buy her some grinds" (lunch). She's been wonderful.
I also need to thank the Picasa people that finally got me going with the photo blogging biz. You all are going to get wompped with pics from the Big Island, and I am thrilled about it.
I will try to post a block that tells about the photos. I love the one on my masthead, that is a ironwood sapling growing out of a rugged lava flow that is above the hightide line mostly, if there is wind or rough seas that little one gets submerged or beaten on. Laupahoehoe (Law pah hoy hoy, for you gringos out there) has one of the most beautiful beach parks on the island but the valley is treacherous and Tsunamis have killed dozens there. The land looks like a big square snow shovel just cut a squarish valley there, Surf pours in the lowest areas. Its lovely and I have many more shots to put on here.
I feel like that sapling a lot of the time, but God is good and one foot in front of the other its comming along.
Thank you to all that read and comment on my blog. You have been such an encouragement to me. This has become such an important outlet for self expression for me, it has changed my life. Mahalo Nui and Hana Hou!
