Now A Report From Our Embed Reporter.....
The Big Kahuna... Woody at Punalu'u Beach Park
on the front lines in Vacationland East Sunny (sort of) Central Florida....
Woody finally called last night... Its raining and cold but hes really having a good time doing this thing that he really loves...looking at houses. He loves this about as much as planning excursions and eating... Four agents Three communities in Two days... no moss growing on this rock... And the great thing is that he feels like this was worth while and he has found things that he thinks I will be happy with that he wouldnt have found other than by going there...
He says "Your inner drive for the ocean can be fully realized, you drive and drive and drive and can see the sea from the highway just like PCH..." Why this is funny is...Here in Hawaii many times you are far from the sea when driving cause the roads are really vestages of the old sugar cane railway, and inland 3-10 miles... " You will love Siesta Key Beach, in fact I think you will find the whole place very much like home..." Home for Woody being Southern California once and for all, and never Hawaii.
I keep reminding him that we need to keep an open mind...after all we have a month of house hunting planned in other areas...
I will get a better update tonight when I call him. My cell phone was breaking up and the land line was on and off most of the day. We had very bad weather here with driving rain, high wind and lighting, I enjoy it when I dont have to be out in it. I spent the day working on a pile of stuff to put into consignment, and tossed a bunch to the dump or the Salvation Army pile if it was still useable. Only newer, collectabile, or things like my cd storage racks and the new lawnmower are going to consignment, as well as any large peices of furniture we choose to leave. Debbie, the owner of Dis Dat and daKine is comming after we leave to gather up what is left and place it in her store... She has been a super friend and resource during this time... Say a prayer for her Grand daughter, 15 months old now but was a pre mee and had known a lot of the hospital thing. Concern rose when she started having trouble keeping food in and had abdominal swelling...The found a tumor in her belly that is huge, and it looks very bad... Its sad when the children suffer...
To any readers with blogger comments, I am not lurking but its been several days since Blogger would allow commenting. I am not able to get through. I know that a lot of you are having difficult times just now and I am praying for you and thinking of you as I work. Yes tommorrow is another day, but that is hard to see when you have ill children, or parents, no job, or difficult spouses. I know. I am there right with you.
Back to the salt mines of packing up. I rejoice at every little space that opens up. It tells me that I really am accomplishing something...This is important as my inner pack rat keep trying to sneek in crap that is best gone...Today its that box of stuff my mom spent years saving. Baby stuff, school stuff, Stuff that I dont need, cant use, and have no one to leave it to... I need to get up the courage to dump it and be done with it.
