A Room of One's Own

I have always had my own room. From early childhood till this day this has been the case. Its hard for people to understand my need for solitude, and for private space... I would hide in private spaces, preferring my own company... and now walk forest and field alone rather than with a companion, it is the way of the pilgrim... and would seem to be the calling that is on my life...
I also have found that self expression is like that room of one's own. Like Woolf said in the passage above... it is the secret place of the mind... But, for me, this is a relatively recent understanding. In the past 15 years I have found more ways to communicate who I am and the message that I feel that I am charged by my Creator to be bringing to the world than one would ever think...
Blogging with words that deliver the essence of my thought to this incredible worldwide medium, the internet and blogging with my camera to share with the world the wonders that I see through the eye of the lens...this is a marvel to me...
Its an even bigger wonder that you read it.
It will be in the next day or so that My Wide Blue Seas reaches the milestone of 10,000 hits. I am humbled and gratified...and truly grateful for the friends that use this as a means to "keep track" of me in my wanderings, and for the friends that I have met while engaging the Blogosphere. I so enjoy it and look forward to it as a major part of my day...catching up on your news as you read mine... Thank You for your love and support...A Hui Hou!
