    Angel Fire


    Fire on the Mountain- Sundown over Table Rock Landing Holiday Island Arkansas


    There is a burning light
    upon the Ozark hills,
    lighting the bluest sky
    with the brilliant evening light
    Sunset brings the nightbreeze
    filled with honeysuckle sweetness
    bringing to mind the tropical night
    with palms swaying in the tradewinds

    The moon seated upon the ridgeline
    draws strength from the suns waining rays
    Twilight decends, the still water reveals
    Shining clouds reflecting on the quiet lake
    The wild things, creatures of the night
    come out to drink in the wild streams
    While Angelfire burns on the piney ridge
    in the wild blue Arkansas sky.
