Crystals and Peonies
Rock crystal near a blooming Ozarks Peoney. Taken by my Treo 650 near Beaver Arkansas
It was a very interesting day for us, We came home the night before and realized that we still had the key for the home we are buying so we called the agent for the sellers and we drive up to drop the key off.
A huge storm is comming in and we saw the thunderheads building towards the Oklahoma border. The light and shadows were amazing. I love all of the different colors of green, and so far we have yet to see anything that says "You have made a grave mistake"
We learned more about the family that we are buying the house from. The selling agent's mother was the best friend of the woman that owns the house. The death of her friend has been devestating. A large group of friends is helping to get the place ready for us. the Auction for all of the household goods is in a week or so. The nephew that has power of attorney that will be signing the papers will be in over the last week of this month and is thrilled for us and let us know that we could have access to the home to have contractors take measurements and bid the few jobs we will have to have done to get the place ready for a move in, and theis agent is trying to find us short term rental housing that will allow us all to be together... It was a very good day.
At a rock stand that we have passed a number of times we stopped and I bought a peice of Rose quartz that was quarried here locally. I am somewaht of a rock hound, and enjoy holding this chunk of irridescent stone looking at its many shades of pink.
The storm is breaking over me. I am loving the lightning but woder about the fire danger. that will be an interesting topic of conversation with Woody. Im not sure that he considered that our closest disaster is now a forest fire!
We are in a waiting period. Going to be some slow news days ahead so enjoy the photos from my phone. I think that is the coolest...
