Taking Things For Granted
Farmers market near Avoca Arkansas... Taken with my treo 650 phone.
you will have to forgive the many typos and akward formatting. I have a new Dell 700m laptop that I am learning to use. Its fun and I am catching on fast... another toy for this wannabee techno geek...
While trolling I found a new blog to put on my blog roll
Right Thinking Girl after
reading this postI find that I take way too much for granted. I really do. I have so much to be thankful for. I dont know anything about the author of the above mentioned blog, but I sense that she is not from this country or has lived abroad. That I know will teach you to be thankful. I am astounded at how much I "did without" in Hawaii. Just walk into a Super Walmart and you will see what I mean...Here I am typing away on this new computer, while looking out on the beautiful Ozarks, in a lovely rental home...My worldly goods are here in town and were unloaded into storage yesterday... House deals are comming along and all is well. Praise God...
Yet Woody and I realized yeasterday that we were not "grateful" enough. We need to cultivate that heart of gratitude that we worked hard at in Hawaii, where we were glad for the little things.
So we are having a stay at home day today, doing housekeeping and catching up on back mail and email. Im wireless so we can both be online at the same time... I dont know whose network I am mooching off of, but I also have earthlink dial up should I need it.
I am starting to look for work. I am so ready for a paycheck of some kind. I got a paper yesterday to get a feel of what is available and there seems to be a lot of work, but you all know how that could be deceptive. We shall see.
