War Eagle Caverns
Entrance to War Eagle Caverns. Known locally as the "bat cave" it has been in continuous summer use for a 1000 years as a resting place along the War Eagle river, and Beaver Lake which was not as large then as it is today and as a "hunting lodge" for the Osage and Cherokee peoples as the hunted this game filled valley in mutual accord.
