Work In Progress

the ripped out shower at our house, its a work in progress

all goes according to plan. I am so looking forward to getting out of the suitcase life, and into a real house a real home again.

I was notified today that I qualified to take the postal exam so I am taking the test on the 29th of this month. This is a part time position as a rural carrier. We are familiar with this as we had this type of delivery in Hawaii The pay is fantasic. even of I work on day a week it will be the worth it


We have spent the past two days on car lots trying to buy another car. I find this process boring stressful and boggling to the mind. the dealing and all of the accounting, money off this or that...blast it all to hades... anyway we are looking but I think we wont be buying this week.

I understand how we misunderstood the issues with the Inrepid as I shop cars. Tell me people how can a normal person afford a vehicle? We are seeing 26-40 k for a truck? its crazy when does this stop? I have never earned more than 12.50 an hour, If I were alone I wonder how I would make it?

One thing we did was take delivery on some of the furniture we have bought as the furniture here in the rental is little more than firewood masqurading as antiques. This stuff breaks where we sit on it, even the beds, the bed I sleep in colapsed on me. Chairs creak and the tables are rickety. So I have a lovely leather chair and ottoman to sit on. Its pure bliss. I am blogging away and loving it.
